Mountain Home Retreat
This Mountain Home Retreat is nestled in the heart of the New River Valley. The Port Orford cedar porch opens into the vast outdoor space with a beautiful view. The mahogany door entrance expands into the vaulted ceiling living space with red oak flooring. This house features: custom tile inlay (imported from Spain and Italy); Weyerhaeuser Framer Series SYP lumber; as well as exterior Huber Gorman Elite soffit, ZIP system roof, and wall sheathing.
This home, nestled in the New River Valley, has a timber feature on the back porch. This image shows the Jeld-Wen Siteline windows. The porch has Trex Composite handrails with aluminum balusters and beautiful stone-wrapped columns. This Valley Home has Hardie board and batten siding, along with a spruce Tongue-and-Groove cathedral ceiling.
This is a farmhouse-style cabin with 8-inch Hardie Lap siding and a standing seam metal Galvalume roof. This quaint cabin has an eastern white pine Board and Batten feature, pictured here, with Pella aluminum-clad windows.
Mountain Home Retreat
This incredible vaulted ceiling, timber-framed porched over the back patio area of the Mountain Home Retreat, was framed with Port Orford Cedar.
Setter Construction does all things custom tile! This image is of a custom tile inlay in the shower of the master suite. The feature piece includes marble tile from Florida Tile, in “Honesty,” and tile from Morris Tile Distributors.
“Wes and Austin were outstanding partners for designing and building our dream kitchen on a budget. They adeptly worked through design challenges to produce a kitchen that weaved new cabinetry and appliances into an existing space, while pushing and pulling some walls to make it more open and livable. Opening walls produced some surprises, and they competently worked through those as well to stay on time and on budget. Communication and coordination of subcontractors was simply outstanding and I was sincerely as impressed by their soft skills as the construction. When learned that during a big renovation you invite a group of people into your lives in a very intimate way, and I’m sincerely thankful in retrospect that it was Wes and Austin. It would be a pleasure to have them in our house again.”
“We used Setter as our general contractor to build a small cabin (designed by Ron McCall) this summer. Met them at the NRV Home Expo in Christiansburg.
These guys are top notch framers. Really happy with how the kitchen and bathroom turned out. The tongue and groove on the ceiling of the carport is great. And they matched the interior trim work and with the exterior look and feel. The metal roof, gutters, and tile work all turned out nice as well.”
